Loading... Please wait...These place mats with matching napkins were woven at a small studio in Ajijic, Mexico called "Telares Los Reyes". We had the opportunity to tour their business and the looms are rough but effective. At the time we were there, there were two gentlemen working on one loom each. Slow going for the quantity and quality they produce. They told us these placements will last 20 years. I can confirm that they wash up beautifully. They also make jackets, shawls, tablecloths, curtains and more. Maybe I can bring back more on my next trip.
The place mats measures approximately 21 inches with fringe by 13 and 1/2 inches. The napkins are 14 and 1/2 inches by 14 inches. Most are the same size but they cut when they think they are long enough so it may vary slightly but not noticeable. They are in sets of 4 place mats with 4 napkins one in each color-yellow, red, green and orange.
You can see how the looms work on our sites at Face Book (Something and More Crafts and Gifts) or You Tube (somethingandmorelax1)
