Something and More

Judy Volden is a mother of two grown children with two grandchildren. She loves to sew. Her mother was her great inspiration, who loved to sew and crochet and always had a handcraft going.  Judy lives in beautiful Wisconsin and enjoys the out of doors. When not sewing she enjoys reading, gardening and spending time with her family. Her first sewing experience was in Home Economics in high school, where her first project was a gathered skirt. She made many dresses for her daughter when she was small. Judy started quilting about four years ago and has learned through experience. She gets her ideas from magazines and often creates her own designs. She loves selecting the fabric for a new project, but also likes buying kits that have the fabric provided. Her favorite projects are making bags, wall hangings and an occasional quilt. Judy appreciates the relaxation that quilting brings to an otherwise hectic life. Her home is pet free and smoke free.
